Meet Dr. Trapnell
Dr. Trapnell was born and raised in Arizona and loves living in the Southwest. He attended dental school at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, graduating in 2006, and finished his Orthodontic Residency at Jacksonville University in 2009. He has lived in Albuquerque since 2009 and is a huge fan of New Mexico’s weather!
Dr. Trapnell is somewhat of a perfectionist and finds great satisfaction in helping teeth move into exactly the right position for both function and aesthetics. Perhaps even more than that, he loves watching his patients’ self-confidence increase as their smiles improve with each visit.
Meet Dr.Quintin Rupp
Dr. Quintin Rupp completed his Bachelors Degree at Brigham Young University and earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He went on to obtain his Masters of Science in Dentistry and Certificate of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of his graduate studies, Dr. Rupp joined the team at ABQ Orthodontics.
Dr. Rupp has a passion for his profession, and the changes that orthodontics can create in people’s lives. He loves getting to know his patients and their families and seeing their smiling confident faces each day.

What's the difference between Invisalign and ClearCorrect for adults?
Both Invisalign and ClearCorrect are clear aligner systems that gradually straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, removable trays. Invisalign is the longest-established brand, uses its proprietary SmartTrack material, and has the largest library of treatment data. ClearCorrect is owned by Straumann and is often priced slightly lower, with a more conservative trim line. For most adult cases the clinical results are similar - at your free consultation we'll recommend the system that's best suited to your specific bite.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Most adult Invisalign cases take 12 to 18 months, and many minor cases can be completed in as little as 6 months. Treatment length depends on how much movement is needed and how consistently you wear your aligners (22+ hours per day).

How many hours a day do I need to wear my Invisalign aligners?
Wear your aligners at least 22 hours per day. They should only come out for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing your teeth. Compliance is the single biggest factor in finishing treatment on time.
Can teens get Invisalign?
Yes. Invisalign Teen is designed specifically for younger patients and includes blue compliance indicators that fade with wear, plus replacement aligners in case any are lost or broken. Most teens with mild-to-moderate alignment issues are good candidates.
